Fort Knox High School --Student Selected for United States Youth Program and Science Class Designs Model Rockets

Fort Knox High SchoolAt the beginning of the new semester, the creation of model rockets was introduced to Fort Knox High School. Patricia Canada began teaching students the math and science that enabled these rockets to soar. Steve Thomas, the Instructional System Specialist, shared his 20 years of experience with the students in order to prepare them for their rocket designs.
He imparted his knowledge onto the students to help them understand the design elements and different body structures, fin templates and nose cones in order to comprehend the science of modern rockets on a smaller scale.On completion of their model rockets, students of Fort Knox High School will present their creations at the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Posium. Canada's model rockets class will present their designs April 22-26 in the Fort Knox High School gym.Students from other on-post schools surrounding Fort Knox High School will be participating in the STEMposium throughout the week.
