Fort Knox -- Track impresses at Central Hardin Invitational

  A trio of sisters and two brothers showed how the Fort Knox High School track and field program can be a team to look out for later in the season. The Smith sisters helped the Lady Eagles place second, while brothers Khari Saunders and Kasaun James combined for three top-two finishes as the Eagles were fourth in the boys' standings at the Central Hardin Invitational.
  "It was a really good night for the whole team, boys and girls," Saunders said. "Everyone did really well."The Smiths—junior Monica, freshman Miriam and eighth-grader Tatiana—combined for five top-eight individual performances as the Lady Eagles scored 79 points. The sisters also helped the Lady Eagles finish in the top two in two relays. Monica and Tatiana teamed with junior Emily Kiphuth and sophomore Vanessa Jackson to win the 3,200-meter relay, while Monica, Miriam, Kiphuth and Jackson were second in the 1,600 relay. Miriam was second in the 200 dash and seventh in the triple jump, Tatiana was second in the 1,600 and 3,200 runs and Monica placed fifth in the 400
