Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

Free and reduced lunch applications have to be completed annually, during the first three weeks of the school year.  New federal applications are required during this time frame.  Did you know that breakfast is included in the Free and Reduced Lunch Application?

On Wednesday October 21, 2015, fifty-five Faith Middle School eighth graders (40 general education students and 15 AVID students) took the PSAT 8/9.  As this is the inaugural year, the students did an outstanding job.  One hundred percent of the students met the reading and writing benchmark.  On the math portion, more than half of the students met the benchmark.  With this, more than half of the eighth grade students (58%) met both the reading and writing benchmark and math benchmark which exceeded the National Average (41%) by 17%.  All the students had a mean score of 881 which is 80 points above the National Average of 801.  With this being the inaugural school year for the PSAT 8/9, the College Board does not have the raw data to identify specific skills within reading, writing, or math.  Individual scores are provided to the students to share with parents.  Major kudos goes to the students on their exceptional performance on the PSAT 8/9.
