The DoDEA School Library Information Center program:
DoDEA Summer Reading List-Kindergarten/First Grade
Students come to the Media Center every week.
Scholastic Reading Counts (SRC) is a program that encourages students to read for enjoyment and understanding.
Reading Counts Quiz Search
Provides information about books that are supported by SRC quizzes. You can view the available quizzes to help you and your child select books for Reading Counts points. Just ask Mrs. A if you need help finding a quiz.
Students use the Retelling Theater to retell any story we have read in the library, in the classroom or a story their parents read with/to them at home.
Students use puppets to act out and retell stories or poems of their choice.
This is a fun way for students to practice sequencing stories, describing characters or setting, and building their self confidence in public speaking.
Students use the Smartboard either in small groups or individually to access information from our school's website or from the various databases. See our Resources and Databases page for a list of resources we use.
