Ft. Campbell HS Model United Nations Team

Fort Campbell High School students take home honors

FCHS Model UN award winners

Fort Campbell High School attended Vanderbilt University Model United Nations Conference on 8-10 November.  VUMUN is one of the best HS MUN conferences in the entire country. It is arguably the most prestigious MUN Conference in the entire Southeastern United States! This year's conference included just under 500 MUNers from all across America and some students from Canada. Some flew in from Chicago, Boston, and Ontario. Others drove from the Midwest and Southeastern parts of United States.

FCHS had 31 students in attendance at VUMUN. This is the largest group in the history of the FCHS MUN program. Ms. Kesha Ladd and Mr. Kenneth Jankowski are the sponsors of this fine group and are very proud of their team! These students were very active within their committees to include: oration, resolution writing, amending resolutions, passing directives and some even wrote and had their own resolutions passed. It was the most successful group FCHS has had the honor of sponsoring!

Here are the individual award winners:

Best Delegate

(This is the most prestigious award a MUNer can get) Only 14 kids out of 500 earn this award

Britten Johnson (12th grade) for his work as the representative for ACUMEN Funds in the Non Government Organizations Committee.

Outstanding Delegate

Dakota Scott (11th grade) for his work in the Egypt in Transition Committee.

Honorable Mention Delegate

Armand Fernandez (11th grade) for his work in the Roman Senate 218 B.C. Committee.

The Kentucky District and the staff at Fort Campbell High School are extremely proud of these MUNers!
