PEACHTREE CITY, GA — May 12, 2017 — Fort Campbell High School (FCHS) has hired Mr. Joshua Robins as The Falcons’ new head football coach. Mr. Robins comes to FCHS from Northwest High School (NWHS), in Clarksville, Tenn., where he served as the defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach for the past five years. He also served as the Head Junior Varsity Coach. During his tenure there, the NWHS team turned around and landed their first play-off berth in nearly a decade. For the past two years – 2015 and 2016, the NWHS football defense was ranked as one of the best Tennessee defenses in Region 6-4A.
“Mr. Robins brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in fitness, coaching and physical education,” said FCHS Athletic Director Charles Poole. “We believe that Coach Robins is a great fit for our student athletes, as well as our community.”
Mr. Robins played linebacker at Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville, S.C. He also played linebacker at Golden West Community College in Huntington Beach, Ca.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Robins served for four years at Fort Lewis-McCord, Wash., as a military policeman. While stationed in Washington, Mr. Robins served as the linebacker coach at Clover Park High School in Lakewood, Wash. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health and Human Performance in 2014 from Austin Peay State University, in Clarksville, Tenn. From April 2015 to May 2016, Mr. Robins was a 6th to 8th grade teacher at a Clarksville Alternative school, where he was responsible for planning and delivering an integrated educational program.
