Puerto Rico, Strong and Resilient
Following Hurricane Maria, in Puerto Rico, most schools are still operating under difficult conditions but have begun to rebuild with promise. Administrators, teachers, and students at Fort Buchanan and Ramey School shared their accounts of the recovery effort and the progress being made towards normal operations with the DoDEA Director. As teaching and learning at Fort Buchanan and Ramey resume the DoDEA community in Puerto Rico has demonstrated a resilient spirit in the wake of the storm.

Continuous School Improvement Goals

Goal 1:  Reading Comprehension Of teachers

100% of all students will demonstrate a proficiency by an increase of 3% in comprehension in Reading by 6/15/16 as measured by the Terra Nova Multiple Assessment, District Assessments and local assessments.

Goal 2:  Written Communication by Parents 

75% of All students will demonstrate a proficiency of communication in Writing by 06/15/2016 as measured by a 3% increase in standardized assessments as well as on district and local assessments.
