About the Program:
Health Team Dynamics prepares students for careers in the Medical Industry and is the first course for students entering the Therapeutic Services Career Pathway (Health Science Cluster).

Major Concepts/Content: This course is designed to introduce students to the health care industry and assist potential health care workers in their role and function as health team members. Topics include terminology, the history of health care, health care agencies, ethics, legal responsibilities, careers, holistic health, human needs, change, cultural awareness, communication, medical math, leadership, and career decision making. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include field trips, community service, and job shadowing. Leadership activities provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills to authentic experiences.

Major Instructional Activities: nstruction includes analyzing medical and health care careers and demonstrating the personal and professional standards of health care workers. Exploration of specific health care topics will be incorporated into instructional activities

Major Evaluative Techniques: Students will be evaluated on in-class activities, tests, projects, and presentations.
