The Griffin Club Keep Columbus Beautiful 2017 Shoe Recycling Campaign

On October 1, 2017 the Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission will launch a Shoe Recycling Campaign to divert shoes from our landfill and reuse them by sending them to developing countries (Haiti, Swaziland, Togo, and Honduras). The Commission's goal is to collect 30,000 pairs of worn men's, women's and children's shoes - any condition and any style, to include slippers and flip-flops.

Dexter will be collecting unwanted shoes through November 17th to support this recycling campaign.  Collection bins will be placed near the front entrance of the school.  The students will organize the collection, and the club's sponsor will transfer the donations to the drop-off locations. If you have any questions about the campaign you can contact our school counselor Ms. McRey.
