The Japan District Superintendent’s Office is pleased to announce the selection of Ms. Jenny Reese as the new assistant principal of Matthew C. Perry Elementary School in Iwakuni, Japan.
Ms. Reese earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Georgia Southwestern State University in 1998 with a major in middle grades education. In 2005, she received her Master of Education degree with a major in reading education from Georgia Southwestern State University. Ms. Reese obtained her Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University in 2011.
Ms. Reese began her career in education as a teacher in Georgia’s public schools where she taught at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. While teaching in Georgia’s public schools, Ms. Reese also served her schools in a variety of capacities to include SST chair and CSI committee chair. In 2006, she accepted a position as an instructional coach at Macon County Elementary School. Ms. Reese joined DoDEA in August of 2010. She served as an Instructional System Specialist for Early Childhood Education in the Kentucky District. Most recently Ms. Reese has served DoDEA as an Instructional System Specialist for Early Childhood Education at the DoDEA Pacific Area Director’s Office in Okinawa.
Ms. Reese is the proud mother of a beautiful daughter who currently resides in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She is looking forward to the opportunity to work with parents, students, and teachers as Assistant Principal of Matthew C. Perry Elementary School.
