Your School Advisory Committee (SAC) is a group of elected members, equal part parents and professional employees, who work together to advise the school principal on educational matters, policies towards students and parents, student activities, and administrative procedures affecting students. They also advise on the allocation of school resources as well as student standards of conduct and discipline.
Some of the goals we have set for the 2013-14 school year include working to facilitate a smooth transition for the students to the new middle school building next fall, improving communications using a weekly parent newsletter, standardizing communications when it comes to school related closures or delays, and implementing a plan for inclement weather days that provides safe areas for students when they aren't able to be outside.
Your SHAPE MS/HS SAC meets the second Wednesday of each month in the high school library conference room at 3:45 and we welcome parent and community involvement.
The PTSA is an organization of parents, teachers, and students of SHAPE Elementary and High Schools who come together to bring educational programs, benefits, and fun to all students in our community. Through fund-raising, the PTSA is able to sponsor many fun and informative events in our schools, as well as provide supplemental school equipment and books, ensuring our students are afforded the best education possible. The PTSA is making a difference in your children's lives and the SHAPE community.

Scholarship Committee raises funds to give out to members of the graduating class at SHAPE High School. In previous years the scholarship committee has consistently raised funds for over $30,000 in scholarships
All students are required to be registered every school year. Current students need to re-register each school year, which takes place in the spring. Returning students will need to bring extension or reassignment orders for the sponsor, if the current set of orders expires before the start of the new school year. New students, (i.e., students who did not attend a DoDEA school in Europe) are encouraged to register online in order to expedite the process of registration.
It is necessary for the parent(s) to come to the school office to complete registration for students in either case. You need to bring with you a copy of the sponsor's orders, the child's shot records, social security number, and school records. At that time, additional forms will be filled out for the school as needed.
If sponsors are aware that they will be leaving before the end of the school year, please notify the registrar and bring in a copy of the PCS orders as soon as they are received. With your help, we can make registration a speedy and pleasant experience.
It is recommended that each military unit and each school have the expectation that this checklist is complete before a military member PCS’s with school aged children. When this checklist is complete, you have all you need to register in a new school with the least amount of problems due to a PCS.
