Student Activities

All students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities whether they be athletic, academic or social in nature. These activities help to shape students and prepare them for the future as part of a well rounded education.

School clubs are a great way to develop new interests and to make new friends. Students can select these activities based on their interests. Several teachers are the sponsors and coordinate the programs with parents, students, and community volunteers. We provide the following clubs/activities:

  

Below are the clubs for the 2017-2018 school year.  Please check with your child's teacher for an application. Please note that some clubs have limited enrollment. 

 

Art Club 1

 

Description: Afternoon art will give children an opportunity to develop art skills in a smaller group setting. Students will explore art media and tools in depth. 

Eligibility: Students in grades 4 & 5

Meeting Days/Time: Saturdays: November 18th, December 2nd, 9th, and 16th - Time TDB

Art Club 2

Description: Afternoon art will give children an opportunity to develop art skills in a smaller group setting. Students will explore art media and tools in depth.

Eligibility: Students in grades 2 & 3

Meeting Days/Time: Saturdays: January 6th, 13th, 20th, and February 3rd - Time TBD

Art Club 3

Description: Afternoon art will give children an opportunity to develop art skills in a smaller group setting. Students will explore art media and tools in depth. 

Eligibility: Students in grades kindergarten & 1st

Meeting Days/Time: Saturdays: March 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th - Time TBD

Ballroom Dancing

Description: Learn a wide range of dances from the waltz, swing, and tango to the cha cha and more.  The dancing presentation for the community will be on the 28th of March. 

Eligibility: Students in grades 3, 4, & 5

Meeting Days/Time: Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:35-4:00 - January 8th - March 28th

Broadcast Club

Description: Students produce the Netzaberg Morning show by assigning roles, writing scripts, directing, and reading on camera

Eligibility: Students in grades 4 & 5

Meeting Days/Time: Wednesdays from 2:45-4:00, September - June

Chorus

Description: The performance group will sing for the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5th and Spring Concert in March.  Many genres of music will be explored.

Eligibility: Students in grades 4, & 5

Meeting Days/Time: Tuesdays from 2:34-3:30, October - March

Circus Arts

Description: Students will learn circus basics such as globe walking, aerial hoops, silks, juggling, pogo, walking stilts diabolos, and more.  There will be a performance for the community on March 28th. 

Eligibility: Students in Grades 3, 4, & 5

Meeting Days/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:35-4:00 - January 19th - March 28th

Cross-fit

Description: Students in this club will learn fitness, weight lifting technique, and cross-fit games for kids. 

Eligibility: Students in Grades 3, 4, & 5

Meeting Days/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:35-4:00 - November 6th - December 13th

Garden Club - Spring

Description: Gardeners will learn about flower and vegetable gardens, maintaining flower pots, composting, educating others about garden care and respect, as well as tool care and safety. Applications will be available in March. 

Eligibility: Students in grades 1, 2, 3, 4

Meeting Days/Time: Tuesdays, 2:40-4:00 - March-May 

Volleyball

Description: Serve! Bump! Set! Spike! Join this club to learn the basics of playing volleyball and be ready for the Volleyball Tournament at the end of October. 

Eligibility: Students in Grades 3, 4, & 5

Meeting Days/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:35-4:00 - September 6th - October 25th
