DoDEA Procurement

Welcome to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Procurement Division. This website is designed to assist anyone who is interested in doing business with DoDEA or wants information about DoDEA’s Procurement Division.

The Procurement Division is comprised of four offices which contract for supplies and services in support of DoDEA’s mission. The locations of these offices are:

  • DoDEA Headquarters: Alexandria, VA
  • DoDEA-Europe: Mainz-Kastel, Germany
  • DoDEA-Pacific: Okinawa, Japan
  • DoDEA-Americas: Peachtree City, Georgia

As you navigate through the Procurement Division's webpages you will find information about doing business with DoDEA, the contracting process, Federal and Department of Defense procurement policy, the electronic systems used in the procurement process (i.e., eCommerce), and DoDEA’s grants program. Click on the buttons at the top of this page or the organizational chart below for information and Points of Contact for each of these procurement areas.

What do we buy?

The DoDEA Procurement Division buys goods and services for all of DoDEA, including over 200 elementary, middle, and high schools, and DoDEA headquarters.  We typically procure:

  • educational materials
  • school bus transportation
  • custodial services
  • office supplies and equipment
  • professional services
  • information technology
  • professional development
  • school furniture

The major differences between DoDEA schools and other public schools are the nature of our student population (children of uniformed military personnel) and the location of our schools (mostly on or near military bases in the U.S. and abroad). These differences present unique challenges which may affect DoDEA requirements.
