Angelia Hadley named assistant principal of The Sullivans Elementary School

The Japan District Superintendent’s Office is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Angelia Hadley as the new assistant principal of The Sullivans Elementary School on Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan.
Mrs. Angelia Hadley is beginning her seventh year with DoDEA, where she has served as a fifth grade teacher and kindergarten teacher within the Japan District at Yokota West Elementary School, Yokota Air Base and Zukeran Elementary School, Camp Foster. Outside the classroom she has been actively involved with Continuous School Improvement, School Advisory Committee, and PTO as well as many other learning committees within the schools. Prior to working for DoDEA she taught at schools in Yuma, Arizona and Havelock, North Carolina.
Mrs. Hadley grew up in an Army family and traveled abroad as her father was transferred, eventually settling in Houston, Texas where she graduated High School. She went on to attend Blinn College in Brenham, Texas where she earned her Associate of Arts degree, then on to East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She later completed her Master of Education degree in Administration at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mrs. Hadley is a proud, recently retired, Marine Corps spouse and mother of two college students. During her down time she enjoys spending time with family and traveling as well as reading and any activity that takes her outdoors.
Mrs. Hadley is honored to be a part of the DoDEA family and looks forward to her time at The Sullivans Elementary School. Working with military families is near and dear to her heart. Through her experience, love of children and lifelong learning she is excited for the opportunity to positively impact the student body as well as the greater community.
