Student Council

The Student Council at Vilseck High School is a forum through which students can voice their opinions and express their concerns to the administration. Also acting as a mediator between the various clubs and interest groups in the school, the Student Council helps organize the calendar of student events, encouraging participation from the whole student body.

Drama

The VHS Drama Club is dedicated to bringing the joy and power of Drama to students, by providing high quality dramatic programming at the beginner and intermediate levels. It pledges to offer participants the chance to experience the excitement and rewards of theatre arts while developing poise, social skills, confidence and the ability to work with others. Members of the Drama Club mount two productions a year (one each in the fall and spring), plus a winter talent show. Membership is open to anyone.

JROTC Drill Team

The JROTC Drill Team is composed of students enrolled in the JROTC curriculum. Drill team members provide Color Guards at home sporting events for local services. Members learn precision drill movements and intricate drill maneuvers. The drill team is cadet-run and develops leadership, self-confidence, and teamwork.

Model United States Senate

MUSS is for students interested in controversial issues, current events, and debate. Students in grades 9-12 role play United States Senators, lobbyists, and members of the executive branch in a simulation of the Senate. Participants research a wide variety of contemporary issues and prepare bills for discussion and debate. Parliamentary procedures used in legislative debating are an essential part of the debate and are easy to learn. In short, MUSS provides a forum for students to use a wide range of communication skills as they seek to promote and pass legislative proposals in a dynamic and challenging simulation. If you like to argue the issues, MUSS is for you!

National Honor Society

Students complete local projects and membership is based on grades, community service and recommendations.

Robotics

Students complete local projects and compete in regional competitions.

Educator's Rising

The purpose of ER is to maintain a community of students dedicated to the field of education and the profession of teaching. ER establishes a network with the faculty, staff, and experienced educators in local school districts and professional educational organizations. ER helps students explore financial aid and job opportunities in the field of education by providing opportunities to participate in conferences, conventions, workshops, and trips relevant to the profession.

Student to Student

Student 2 Student is an organization welcoming new students to Vilseck High School. S2S members acquaint new students not only with the school, but the surrounding military and host nation communities as well. S2S activities offer new students the opportunity to become positively and actively involved at Vilseck High School from the first day they arrive.

Video Club members complete local projects creating videos for other groups and activities. Students also have time to pursue individual interests in the video creation process.

ISLI

ISLI is a week-long experiential learning program for developing leadership skills for high-school students, in a setting that allows 90 American DoDEA-Europe students to live, work, and learn with 90 students from top Gymnasiums in the following countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy and The Netherlands.
