West Point MS

Principal's Corner

Principal's Message

Dear West Point Middle School Stakeholders,

It is an honor to be the principal of West Point Middle School and I look forward to continuing the proud tradition of excellence established here. Some historical highlights include Proclamation by the New York State Assembly in 2016 and recognition as a Blue Ribbon School in 2011 and 1998. The faculty and staff at West Point Middle School are looking forward to another terrific year in 2017-2018. We have a certified, experienced and highly motivated faculty and staff and we will again focus on the AdvancED Standards by which we are held accountable:

  • Maintaining and communicating a purpose and direction that commit to high expectations;
  • Governance and leadership that promotes and supports student performance and school effectiveness;
  • Teaching and assessing for learning;
  • Providing resources and support systems to ensure success for all students and;
  • Using results to guide continuous improvement.

In addition, this is the second year or what has been a smooth transition into the Mid-Atlantic District as part of the Restructuring for Student Achievement (RSA) and we will continue the implementation of College and Career Readiness Standards in Math (Grades 5-8) and Literacy (Grades 6-8).

We believe strongly in a positive school climate with high expectations for all, providing leadership opportunities for stakeholders and developing vibrant partnerships throughout the community in order to deliver a world class education to all students.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns please call the Main Office (845-938-2923) or you can always call/text me on my cell (845-667-0529).

Welcome to West Point Middle School! Go Bulldogs!
