The military community has always been active in supporting the military family, and this support is most especially noticed in support for DoD schools. Nowhere is this support stronger than for the development and well-being of children in the military community.

The Italy District schools actively seek parents to be involved in the educational activities and processes of the 5,000+ DoD dependents who live in Italy. Whether in School Advisory Committees (SAC), School Improvement Teams, Installation and District Advisory bodies, or meeting a child at the school bus, parental and military community involvement is a cornerstone of the strength of the DoD schools.
