Professional development activities are available to all teachers throughout the school year. Whether it's the introduction of a new curriculum, new teaching materials, or the sharing of teaching techniques, opportunities abound for professional improvement.
Professional development activities in the district come in all shapes and sizes. District sponsored opportunites unite teachers from within the Italy schools. Many training opportunities are offered within the school. Staff development activities are sponsored by the European Area Office and through DoDEA headquarters sponsored programs.
Professional organizations such as Phi Delta Kappa are also sponsored by educational professionals within the Italy District.
