Activities
  • The Jason Project
  • WebQuests - This site is designed to serve as a resource to those who are using the WebQuest model to teach with the web. By pointing to excellent examples and collecting materials developed to communicate the idea, all of us experimenting with WebQuests will be able to learn from each other.

Professional Organizations
  • American Library Association - The American Library Association (ALA) is the oldest and largest library association in the world, with members in academic, public, school, government, and special libraries. Melvil Dewey, Justin Winsor, C. A. Cutter, Samuel S. Green, James L. Whitney, Fred B. Perkins, and Thomas W. Bicknell founded it in 1876. As of August 31, 2000, the ALA had 61,103 members, with members in the U.S., Canada, and over 115 other countries. Approximately 93% of those 61,000+ members are personal members, and the rest are organizational or corporate.
  • American Association of School Librarians - The mission of the American Association of School Librarians is to advocate excellence, facilitate change, and develop leaders in the school library media field.
  • International Association of School Librarians - The mission of the International Association of School Librarianship(IASL) is to provide an international forum for those people interested in promoting effective school library media programs as viable instruments in the educational process. IASL also provides guidance and advice for the development of school library programs and the school library profession. IASL works in cooperation with other professional associations and agencies.
