The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) has released a three-phased study designed to provide an objective and impartial evaluation of DoD state-side schools and to help DoD determine how best to deliver a quality education to military dependents. DoDEA operates 58 schools on 14 military installations within the United States. Consideration of the study's recommendations have been suspended pending Presidential approval of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission recommendations, anticipated no earlier than September 2005.
