Ms. Diana Ohman, a career educator, began her Directorship of DoDEA Pacific in July 2009. Previously, she served as Director of DoDDS-Europe for ten years with oversight of a $750 million budget and 81 schools organized into five districts serving nearly 35,000 students. As Director, she was also responsible for a $25 million program that served eligible students in over 80 countries where DoD schools were not available.

Prior to joining DoDEA, Ohman served one term as Wyoming Secretary of State from 1995-1999. During this time, she provided leadership on five separate state boards and commissions and fulfilled the responsibilities of the Lieutenant Governor.

Preceding her election as Secretary of State, she was elected Wyoming's State Superintendent of Public Instruction where she was responsible for 49 school districts, 7,000 teachers and 100,000 students. During this period of her career, she also served on the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees, Wyoming Community College Commission, and the Wyoming State Board of Education.

Ms. Ohman's early career included 19 years serving three school districts across Wyoming as a teacher, principal, special education director, and director of a migrant students' summer program.

Ohman has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in education administration from the University of Wyoming.

Her distinguished career includes recognition as a 2009 Casper College Distinguished Alumna, 2006 University of Wyoming College of Education Distinguished Alumna, the 1990 Wyoming Principal of the Year, 1984 Campbell County Professional Woman of the Year, and 1980 Campbell County Teacher of the Year.
