NMFA Military Spouse Scholarship
Because you signed up for notices about the latest scholarship
and education opportunities - you are among the first to know that our
application period has opened for our 2007 scholarship season.
NMFA's Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarships, ranging
from $500 to $1,000, are awarded to spouses of Uniformed Services members
(active duty, retiree, Reserve, National Guard, or survivor) to
obtain professional certification or to attend post-secondary or graduate
school. The scholarship funds may be used to assist with tuition, fees,
and school room and board, and are paid directly to the accredited educational
institution involved. Applications will
only be accepted online and are
due by midnight March 15, 2007. Visit www.nmfa.org/scholarship for

Out Loud
Are you familiar with the NEA's "Poets Out Loud" recitation
contest being run in the high schools last year and this year? It's
a National Competition with a $20,000 scholarship first prize...$10,000
second prize and $100,000 in prizes all together. Students choose,
memorize and rehearse a favorite poem and then perform it. Local
winners go on to the state level and state winners to the national
competition. The students and parents love it! Here's

Jewish Committee on Scouting Eagle Scout Scholarship Programs
The National Jewish Committee on Scouting (NJCS) will award
a national scholarship to the Eagle Scout who best meets the
qualifications outlined in the nomination application ( below
). Financial Need Applicants for the Vernon or Arkans scholarships
must submit a copy of the Free Application for Federal Student
Assistance (FAFSA). Instructions for Completing Application
The applicant should type or print all information.

Wood Badge Scholarship Program VFW Wood Badge Scholarship
Program Rationale The VFW has entered into a cooperative effort
with the Boy Scouts of America to encourage posts to organize
Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Varsity Scout teams, and
Venturing crews. To further this effort, the VFW national headquarters
offers Wood Badge scholarships to assist selected chapter members
in acquiring skills that will better equip them to serve the
youth of their communities. Members at large and retirees can
qualify by being sponsored by the nearest VFW post in.

Eagle Scout Scholarships Scholarships are available to
Eagle Scouts through the Cooke Scholarship Endowment, the Elks
