Tutorial Descrption

Welcome to the DoDEA Gifted Education tutorial on identification. When you complete this tutorial you will have acquired information about the identification procedures developed in support of DoDEA Regulation 2590.1, Programs for Gifted Students.

The tutorial consists of four modules related to the identification of students for gifted education services. At the end of each session, you will find a checkpoint quiz to test your understanding. At any time, you may contact the tutorial sponsor to ask questions or to receive clarification. The sponsor of the tutorial is the Education Directorate through the Coordinator of Gifted Education.

You should be able to complete each part of the tutorial in ten minutes or less.

Tutorial Goals

The gifted identification tutorial has been developed to:

• Provide all DoDEA educators with an overview of the DoDEA Gifted Education Identification Procedures
• Assist local school staff with the implementation of identification procedures
