Lesson plan templates corresponds to the concept areas of health education for secondary courses in grades seven through twelve.  The templates are for use by teachers of Grade 7 Health Education, Grade 8 Health Education, and Health Education I courses who have participated in the DoDEA health education pre-implementation training and are contributing to the DoDEA standards-based unit writing project, from November 2000 through June 2001.

DoDEA Manual 2700.3, March 2000, provides guidance to teachers in planning lessons and learning experiences and in assessing student achievement of the minimum health education standards taught in each of the elementary grades and secondary courses.
