Students will need to be in pairs as they will become predicting

As the story comes to a close, the teacher
will comment that s/he will withhold the ending of the story and ask the
students to individually create their own ending to the story. Using an
overhead transparency and a lined piece of paper to help students write on the
overhead, students will write their own ending and then draw a picture to go
along with it.
Each student will have an opportunity to read and show, via the overhead, their ending to either a small group or entire class. Students can compare and contrast the various endings to the author’s ending.
