Your
school is compiling a memory book of student writings depicting events of the
school year. Copies of the book will be placed in the school library and will be available
to purchase at Open House. Each
student will submit a detailed description (two pages) of a memorable school
event. To
be successful at this task you will need to: 1. Select an event that
stands out clearly in your mind and write about it for the school year
book. You will use vivid details
(show, not tell language) so that your readers will know what happened that
day to make it memorable. 2. From your perspective, describe
the events giving relavant anecdotes to heighten
reader interest. 3. Work in triads so the
opportunity for feedback from at least two peers is available. 4. Review
and exchange feedback. As a result, edit your
writing. 5. Read your final product to your triad before
submitting it to the memory book committee.
