SUBJECT: Language Arts Lab Classes
In the next few weeks, 56 high school Language Arts teachers will be attending
a five-day workshop to discuss and plan the implementation of the Language
Arts Lab Class during SY 03-04. To support the implementation of the Language
Arts Lab Classes, Headquarters has purchased materials for both students
and teachers, as shown in Attachment 1: Materials Ordered for ELA Lab Teachers.
In addition to these materials, Headquarters will fund the purchase of five workstations for each Language Arts Lab Class. (A FAD for these workstations was sent to the Area Offices during the week of June 28, 2003.) Area Offices will provide guidance for the execution of funds for individual school purchases. Further information is shown in Attachment 2: Breakdown of Costs for Workstations.
Please address questions or concerns to Susan Karlesses, who can be contacted by phone at 703-696-4471, Ext. 1956 or by email at skarlesse@hq.dodea.edu.
