Web Resources

Web66: A K-12 WWW Project - The developers of this project see the World Wide Web as a catalyst that will integrate the Internet into K-12 school curriculums. The University of Minnesota is beginning project Web66 to facilitate the introduction of this technology into K-12 schools.

Lesson Plans and Teaching Strategies - Links to lesson plans for K-12 social studies, history, and government.

Social Studies Planet - The Social Studies Web Guide provides teachers and students with teacher approved Social Studies
related resources.

Web Quests - This site is designed to serve as a resource to those who are using the WebQuest model to teach with the web. By pointing to excellent examples and collecting materials developed to communicate the idea, all of us experimenting with WebQuests will be able to learn from each other.

A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is drawn from the Web. WebQuests are designed to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis and evaluation.
