The DoDEA Communications Office initiates and manages DoDEA's communications and outreach efforts worldwide. The office coordinates press relations, internal information programs and communication with students, parents, teachers, school administrators and the public.

DoDEA Educator to Tour Peruvian Schools
The NEA Foundation named Alina Rozanski, a 6-8 grade Choir teacher at Netzaberg Middle School in Grafenwoehr, Germany, as a 2015 NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellow. With this honor, Rozanski joins a unique class of 33 award-winning public school educators who will spend a year building their global competency skills, or the capacity and disposition to understand and act on issues of global significance.

Islas Named as Interim DoDEA Europe Director
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) named Dr. Joan Islas to a temporary appointment beginning on January 3 as the Interim Director for DoDEA operations in Europe, Western Asia, and the Middle East, following the recent retirement of longtime Area Director, Dr. Nancy Bresell.
