Transfer Program School Year 2012-13

We are pleased to announce the DoDDS Teacher Transfer Program for School Year 2012-13.  The Transfer Program has been coordinated with representatives of the Federal Education Association and the Overseas Federation of Teachers.  Applications must be submitted by February 24, 2012, 5 p.m. local time.  General information, eligibility, and qualification requirements are included at this site.  Information includes a listing of teaching categories and geographical locations of schools and districts.  Please read all documents carefully.  If you have any questions, contact your local Human Resources Representative or the DoDEA Human Resources Center through e-mail: "Transfer Program"

The DoDDS Teacher Transfer Program placement round for SY 2012-13 has been delayed until March 21, 2012.  This delay is due to the late identification and notification of excess educators in Europe which caused the need to delay the district placement rounds for excess educators.

The deadline to amend Transfer Program application has been extended until 5:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Updated vacancy lists will be posted when new vacancies are received or if changes to posted vacancies occur.

DoDEA Implements MAPA for Principals and Assistant Principals

The new Multidimensional Administrator Performance Appraisal (MAPA) evaluation system for principals and assistant principals is being implemented throughout DoDEA. DoDDS school districts implement the new system effective October 1, 2009. DDESS school districts implement the new system effective November 1, 2009. The first rating cycle will run from the implementation date through June 30, 2010. The implementation of MAPA culminates over a year of development effort by a task group of current DoDEA managers. The MAPA is designed to improve practices in instructional leadership that enhance student achievement and also to recognize effective practices currently in place. The MAPA form and instructions can be accessed, downloaded, and printed for use by superintendents, principals, assistant principals and other managers.
