Kohl's Kids Who Care® Program
Eligibility:
No purchase necessary. Nominees must be legal U.S. residents of a state in which a Kohl’s store is located. Nominees must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and not yet a high school graduate as of March 15, 2008. Each nominee must be nominated by someone age 21 years or older. Employees of Kohl’s Department Stores , Inc. (“Kohl’s”) and Scholarship America or either companies’ respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and such employees’ immediate family members and members of the same household are ineligible for nomination. Kohl’s associates may nominate non-related children. Members of Scholarship America selection committees may not nominate a child.
Nominees may only be nominated once and may not have been a prior Kohl’s Kids Who Care® regional or national scholarship recipient. Multiple nominations for one nominee will not be accepted, even if submitted by different nominators. Awards are for individuals, so please nominate only one person per entry.
Nominations:
Nomination forms may only be completed and submitted at www.kohlskidswhocare.com. No paper nomination forms will be accepted. Forms must be submitted and signed electronically by a nominator who is 21 years or older no later than 11:59 p.m. CDT, March 15, 2008. All sections of the nomination form must be completed. Nominees who become winners and their parent/guardian must sign a Publicity Release/Scholarship Acceptance Form prior to receipt of any scholarship.
Nominations should describe how the nominee has contributed to the community in a meaningful way by performing volunteer services that helped non-family members. The volunteer activity must have occurred within the last 12 months. Financial need or academic performance will not be considered in the review and selection of winners.

VFW Wood Badge Scholarship Program VFW Wood Badge Scholarship Program
Rationale The VFW has entered into a cooperative effort with the Boy Scouts of America to encourage posts to organize Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Varsity Scout teams, and Venturing crews. To further this effort, the VFW national headquarters offers Wood Badge scholarships to assist selected chapter members in acquiring skills that will better equip them to serve the youth of their communities. - Fallen Hero's home of record on file with the Department of Defense must be in Illinois
- A photocopy of a birth certificate, adoption certificate or marriage license must be provided and are typically available from county governments.
Scholarship for Wounded Vets and Spouses: Operation Education Scholarship is a University of Idaho program designed to help veterans with severe and permanent injuries as a result of service since Sept. 11, 2001. The spouses of wounded veterans are also eligible for the scholarship. The program offers assistance with tuition, fees and books, on-campus housing, transportation, medical assistance, childcare, adaptive equipment, tutoring, and mentorship.
