DoDEA Americas  Schools participate in the federally assisted U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National School Lunch and National School Breakfast programs, School meals meet a variety of important nutrition goals and provide nutritionally balanced meals to children each school day.

Daily breakfast and lunch prices are listed in the sections below.  Please click on the Accounts and Payment tab above for information about prepaying for meals, policy on charging meals and returned checks.

Families who apply and are qualified receive free or reduced price meals.

  • Please notify the Child Nutrition Program if you have a child beginning school this year whose sibling was in the Free/Reduced Lunch Program last year.
  • Free/Reduced Lunch Applications for those children who were in the system last year must be renewed each year within the first thirty (30) calendar days of the school year.

Student Salad Menu

Students may choose a salad plate instead of the regular lunch option. They will receive a salad plate, 2 packages of crackers or 1 roll, choice of fruit and/or vegetable, and milk for the price of their regular meal.

Second Lunches

Only one lunch per child will be served at the advertised prices. Second lunches will be purchased at A La Carte prices.

A La Carte Prices

Students in all grade levels may purchase extra menu items at the A La Carte prices after selecting a reimbursable breakfast or lunch.

Additional Information

School menus are published in the Paraglide and listed on Fort Bragg Schools Webpage of your child's school. Parents may also call the school and request a copy be sent home by the child or  to request a menu.

Lunch General Information

Adult Meal Pricing

Breakfast and lunch are offered to adults at the A La Carte prices.

Entrees that have 2 or more items will not be divided.
Example: Soup and Sandwich will be $2.00 even if you do not want both.

PreK Breakfast/Lunch

Breakfast and lunch are not part of the PreK school day. If you want your PreK student to eat at school, they must arrive in time to eat breakfast or lunch during the scheduled times before going to class.

DoDEA Schools operate under USDA guidelines and are nationally registered "Team Nutrition" Schools. A central menu is published every month and is available here and from your child's school.

Food Services Accounts and Payment

Prepayment Program

Students may pay for their lunch and breakfast meals in advance. Weekly, biweekly or monthly payments will be accepted. 

You  may make payments:

  • Online through the LunchApplication.com website. Parents will need their child's student ID # to apply online.
  • Parent/Guardian visiting the Collection Clerk's office from 8:00 - 10:00 AM or 1:30 - 3:00 PM
  • Send payment to school with your child in an envelope.  The front of the envelope should be labeled with: Student's Name, Teacher's Name, Amount Enclosed.

If a child is absent or brings a meal from home, credit is maintained for those days.

Returned Checks

In the event the parent pays in advance with a check on an account that has insufficient funds, the school will notify the parent by letter and phone call. A $10.00 service charge will be added to the check total. The parent/sponsor will make cash payment to the School Food Service Administrative Office. Further checks will be accepted if the delinquent check and service charge are paid within 30 days of parent notification.

Charging Meals

Students who do not have cash on the meal line or who have not made advance payment will be allowed to charge their meal for one day. The student charging a meal will be given a computer charge slip notifying the parent/guardian of a charged meal. Payment for overdue charges must be made prior to meal service on the following day in order for the student to receive a meal.

Families who apply and are qualified receive free or reduced price meals.
