Fort Knox -- FKFD participates in Career Day

   On April 26, the Fort Knox Fire Department participated in a career day at Kingsolver Elementary School. The fire department was included with other professionals such as a dentist, lawyer, aircraft mechanic, military police officer, the Gold Vault Mint Police, musician, nurse, photographer, pilot, postal worker, as well as a veterinarian. 
   The groups talked to students from grades pre-kindergarten to third grade. It was the vision of the school to give the students an opportunity to talk to people in various careers provide students an opportunity to ask questions about careers. Each student was given the opportunity to pick three career fields that interested them the most. The students then had to come up with questions to ask the specialist in each of the three career choices they made. Students were then able to attend the career day event to obtain answers and learn from the specialist of their chosen career fields.
