Ansbach American Middle/High School (AMHS) opened its doors in 1973. AMHS is a part of the Department of Defense Educational Activity (DoDEA). It is located 25 miles southwest of Nürnberg in Northern Bavaria. Our school is part of the Europe-East School District and currently has a population of 176 students in grades six through twelve. Our school year consists of two semesters, each of which is eighteen weeks in length.
AMHS and DoDEA are committed to ensuring that all school-aged children of military families are provided a world-class education that prepares them for postsecondary education and/or career success and to be leading contributors in their communities as well as in our 21st century globalized society.

LITERACY GOAL: The percentage of students at each grade level who are reading below grade level will decrease by 5%. Results of SRI administered in September 2017 will be compared with results of SRI administered in May 2018.
COLLABORATION GOAL: Collaborative teams at Ansbach Middle High School will demonstrate improved competency in adopting collaborative norms and examining student work once a month as measured by the DoDEA Europe East Collaboration Rubric.
