Department of Defense Education Activity

Antilles HS: Guidance and Counseling Department

The counselors at AHS are available to assist students in developing strategies to deal with academic, personal, and social challenges that may interfere with the educational process.

Military families are characterized by unique demands that tax the cohesion and well- being of families, and the DoDEA Competency Based Counseling Services are designed to meet these additional needs for our students.

Counselors also work to assist students in planning their educational program and provide students with the most current information about colleges, financial aid and employment opportunities.

During the course of the year, students participate in a variety of assessments including the PSAT, ASVAB, Terra Nova, STAMP Foreign Language Proficiency Tests for Levels II and IV, End of the Course U.S. History Assessment, and Advanced Placement examinations.

AHS Program of Studies

Antilles HS proudly presents our Program of Studies for the 2015-16 school year. Students can complete course selections within their Schoology accounts. Our comprehensive curriculum provides a unique opportunity for an individualized high school experience for each and every student in a setting which emphasizes high expectations, the use of technology as a tool for high-level thinking and an increase in the academic core subjects of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language.
