April 2nd our first day back from Spring Break join us in wearing blue to spread support and awareness of Autism.
Check out our special events and our Spirit Week as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child. April is quickly approaching, and we are gearing up to celebrate the Month of the Military-Connected Child. April has been set aside to highlight the youngest members of armed forces who were “born into service” However, at Bahrain School we are all “connected” and all have made their own unique scarifies and deserve to be celebrated.
Monday, April 3rd Security Forces will provide a demonstration (see attached seating chart) with the military dogs.

Wednesday, April 12th will be the entire school photo (1:20p) and parade. The entire student body, teachers and staff are invited to parade (1) time around the track as parents and other community stakeholders cheer us on. Parents and guest are encouraged to make signs/posters showing the children how much they are appreciated (they will be in the bleachers).
DODEA Purple up day is April 12th. Make sure to wear something PURPLE!
Wednesday, April 18th is Bootcamp Day. Our amazing PE team has created mini “bootcamp” obstacle course for the students. There will be other activities during this time. A more detailed schedule and instructions will be sent at later time.

April 18th “Camo” Day, Military-Connected Kids blend in, wear camouflage.

Over the past weekend, Bahrain MOH changed their Covid guidelines and they now closely align with the US CDC recommendations. Please see the new Bahrain MOH which indicated 5 days of “isolation” and that a rapid test is now the diagnostic tool of choice.
2-3rd grade students will have a chance to have a virtual author visit on Tuesday, April 18th afterschool in the information center. More information will be forthcoming.

AFCENT Band:
The coming week (Tuesday and Wednesday) the AFCENT band will be here performing for our students as well as offering classes to each grade level.
Family Fun Run:
Thursday is our big day with our 4 Leap 4 Lap Family Fun Run. The times for each grade level are on the flyer. While shirt sales are no longer available we do hope you come out and jog with us.
Stars and Stipes will be visiting our school also on Thursday, March 16th and talking with Mrs. Janvier’s class and taking some photos when they collect some entries for the Month of the Military Child.
The library is selling pies for Pi day – proceeds will go towards future author visits or other library events.
The PTA has openings for the board for 2023-2024. Check out the openings and reach out to the PTA.
