Read Across America Week

Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers

Monday 2/26— Bowley Bobcats celebrate American history: Dress in patriotic or military attire or spirit wear. Read about American history—this is a great day to tie in African American History Month by reading about the many contributions African Americans have made to our country.

Tuesday 2/27— Celebrate Our Bowley Diversity: Are you from a different state or country? Were your ancestors? Dress to your roots and celebrate your culture of origin or a culture you admire. Share a book that says something about you, your family, or your favorite culture with your class.

Wednesday 2/28—Wacky Wednesday: Wear mix-matched clothes and mix up your reading. If you usually read funny books, try something serious or heartfelt. If you usually read fantasy, try nonfiction instead. Read outside the box--you might learn something new!

Thursday 3/1—Dr. Seuss Day: Wear hats and crazy socks or red & white while you read your favorite Dr. Seuss book!

Friday 3/2—Story book character dress-up day and book parade: Dress as your favorite story book character. Try to get a copy of the book to carry in our Bowley Book Parade. More details to be determined.
