Welcome back Bowley Bobcats!! This year has undoubtedly been challenging and different from years before. However, Bowley Educators are "ALL IN" to take on the challenge and to MEET your needs. MEET stands for "Make Education Evolve through Technology." As we embrace our "new normal," it is important that our families receive information that you will need to know for the beginning of the school year.
Bowley Elementary School will start remote learning for students beginning August 24th for students in grades 1-5, August 25th for Kindergarten and September 8th for Pre-Kindergarten. Remote learning indicates that students will work from home and receive online instruction due to HPCON Charlie conditions at Ft. Bragg. Parents will be able to pick up technology and student toolbox materials on August 20-21 from 0730 to 1730 using the car-rider line at Bowley Elementary School, located off of Knox Street. Please note that student technology is limited and will be considered on family needs basis. Please take time to complete the Google Form linked below to request technology that may be needed for remote or virtual learning. This form will also be made available on our school website.
Additionally, teaching assignments will be announced to parents via email on Thursday, August 20. Furthermore, Ms. Leeks and Mr. Daffin will hold a Facebook Live on August 20 at 1500 to answer questions for parents. Finally, a virtual meet and greet will be held online from 1530-1730 on Friday, August 21st. Parents and students will be able to meet their child's teacher and find out about expectations for the beginning of the school year. If you have questions, you will need to contact Ms. Leeks or Mr. Daffin at 910-907-0202. More information will be provided next week along with reminders for parent pick-up.
We cannot wait to see our students again and to forge those very important relationships within our family community. We miss you! Let's get ready to work. Let's get ready to learn. Let's get ready to MEET!
