Dear BMS Family,

Welcome to Brewster Middle School’s Home page  Brewster Middle School encompasses grades 6 through 8, located on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  The page is intended to provide you with valuable information about the school, the curriculum, resources, extracurricular activities, and community supports.  At BMS, we want our students to explore, learn, and discover all aspects of a quality education. 

Middle school is a time of change. The workload and social adjustments are greater here than at the elementary school but the support remains the same. DoDEA's mission is Educate, Engage, and Empower Each Student to Succeed in a Dynamic World. Our school's goals and priorities are threefold: ensuring achievement for all students, providing a safe and nurturing environment in which students want to learn, and ignite an interest in becoming innovative 21^st Century learners and global citizens.

Our philosophy revolves around these key principles:

• A BMS student is the most important person in our school.
• A BMS student is not an interruption of our work-he or she is the purpose of it.
• A BMS student is a complex adolescent with feelings and emotions.
• A BMS student is one who comes to us with unique experiences, needs and/or wants as a military child.
• A BMS student is deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment that we can provide.
• A BMS student is the lifeline of this school.

Brewster Middle School ensures our students are College-Career Ready. The focus of the future should be on service and excellence. We are pleased, as Brewster Middle faculty and staff, to have the opportunity to serve and work with our military families. It is our privilege and our challenge as educators to strive continually to provide a quality education in our school.
