From the Brussels Deputy Garrison Manager:  
Brussels American School (BAS) Closures

The Commander, United States Army Garrison-Benelux is the authority for the closure of BAS based on inclement weather / road conditions or other safety and protection issues.  The Commander will normally consult with the Brussels Deputy Garrison Manager and the Principal of the School before making a decision.  The Garrison will publish school closures, early dismissals, delayed arrivals through AtHoc, the Garrison's message and warning system, and on social media, primarily the USAG Benelux-Brussels Facebook site,
