ARA101: Art 6-8 A (2020)

Art 6-8 A (9 weeks; 1st or-á3rd Quarter)-áis a visual arts course for students in Grades 6-8 in which the artistic-áprocesses of creating, producing,-áconnecting, and responding will be experienced in a nine-week 'wheel' course. The visual arts program is aligned to DoDEA College and Career Ready Standards Arts, CCRSA (National Core Art Standards, NCAS) and provides opportunities for a variety of experiences such as drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media that can be used throughout life for communication, expression, and enjoyment. Students will build on-á concepts of the elements and principles of design and art concepts introduced in elementary school, as the DoDEA visual arts standards are vertically aligned.
