Art 3 (year-long) is designed so that third grade students experience the fundamentals of art. The elementary visual arts program is aligned to DoDEA College and Career Ready Standards, CCRSA, (National Core Arts Standards,NCAS) and provides opportunities for a variety of experiences such as drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media that can be used throughout life for communication, expression, and enjoyment. Third graders will be introduced to beginning concepts of the Elements and principles of design and will build on art concepts introduced in Kindergarten through second grade, as the DoDEA visual arts standards are vertically aligned.
