SSU102: Grade 7 United States History I (2020)

The Grade 7 United States History I course-á is arranged chronologically and incorporates geography as well as economic, social, and political trends. The course content is divided into eight Key Ideas, tracing the human experience in the United States from pre-Columbian times until the Civil War, with a focus on the significant people, events, and places. Throughout the course, students-ámake connections across time to compare the past to the present. Students will utilize historical thinking skills, inquiry, the tools of social science inquiry, and strategies for disciplinary literacy as they learn the history of the United States.
