  3. When will DoDEA implement College and Career Ready Standards for Science (CCRSS) in grades 6-8 and 9-12?
    DoDEA will implement the CCRSS in grades 6 - 12 during the 2018-2019 school year, building on the implementation for Kindergarten - grade 5 during 2017-2018.
  4. What are the DoDEA graduation requirements for science?
    Three credits are required for science to graduate:
    1.0 credit (Biology)
    1.0 credit (Chemistry or Physics)
    1.0 credit (Science elective)
    Note: Physics Applications and Chemistry Applications in the Community meet requirements).

  5. What is scientific Inquiry?
    The skills of scientific inquiry include science knowledge and use of science tools.  Scientific inquiry is not taught as separate set of skills in science. They are embedded throughout because these process skills are fundamental to all science instruction and content.
