  3. When will DoDEA implement College and Career Ready Standards for Science (CCRSS) in grades 6-8 and 9-12?
    DoDEA will implement the CCRSS in grades 6 - 12 during the 2019 - 2020 school year, building on the implementation for Kindergarten - grade 5 during 2017-2018.
     
  4. What are the DoDEA graduation requirements for science?

    For students graduating through 2022: DoDEA high school students are required to complete 1.0 credit of biology, 1.0 credit of Chemistry or Physics, and 1.0 credit science elective to earn a DoDEA diploma. Note: Physics Applications and Chemistry Applications in the Community meet requirements.

    For students graduating in 2023 and beyond: DoDEA high school students are required to complete 1.0 credit of biology, 1.0 credit of Chemistry, and 1.0 credit of Physics to earn a DoDEA diploma. The completion of these three courses is inclusion of all Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) that DoDEA began implementing in SY19-20 as part of the College and Career Ready Standards for all students.
