Dahlgren School: Lunch Program

One of the many benefits of attending Dahlgren School is the opportunity for students to go home for lunch each day. We recognize that this option is not possible for many of our students, however, so the school provides a dedicated, supervised lunch room for students to eat lunch brought from home.

Lunch Guidelines

Please make sure students have their lunch with them in the morning, or drop your student's lunch off in the main office before noon.

Teachers in grades K - 5 will do a morning lunch count to determine who will be staying for the lunch program.

At lunch:

• Students in grades K - 2 will be escorted to the lunch room.
• Students in grades 3 - 8 will be dismissed to the lunch room.
• The lunch monitor will cross reference lunch attendance with those names on the list and will followup with parents if a child does not attend after signing up for the day.
• The lunch monitor and staff will provide lunch recess supervision.
