Dr. Kim McBroom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education concentrating in Mathematics and Language Arts from East Carolina University in 1986. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Middle Grades concentration in mathematics from Fayetteville State University in 1992. In 2000, she received her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Fayetteville State University. She served in the Army National Guard as an enlisted soldier and commissioned officer for 13 years. She began her educational career 33 years ago as a classroom teacher in Nashville, North Carolina. After eight years of experience teaching middle school math and language arts with Nash County Schools and Cumberland County Schools, Dr. McBroom joined DoDEA in 1996 at Fort Bragg, NC. She served as a math teacher at Albritton Junior High School for ten years. In 2006, she assumed the position of Assistant Principal at Murray Elementary School. In 2007, Dr. McBroom transferred to Devers Elementary School in the capacity of an Assistant Principal where she remained for four years. In 2011, she was promoted to the position of Principal at Pope Elementary School, Fort Bragg NC. She was assigned to Butner Primary School for two years as the principal. She is currently the principal at Devers Elementary School.
