Red Ribbon Week

Dexter will be celebrating "Red Ribbon Week" from Tuesday, October 23rd to Monday, October 29th.  In addition to Red Ribbon week activities, the students will patricipate in a "School Spirit Week."  The themes for this week are as follows: 

Tuesday, Oct. 23rd - I’m too bright to use drugs: Wear bright clothes and/or sunglasses to shade the brightness.

Wednesday, Oct. 24th - Sock it to drugs and kick them to the curb: Wear crazy and/or mismatched socks and/or boots.

Thursday, Oct. 25th - Join the fight against drugs: Wear camouflage.

Friday, Oct. 26th - Follow your dreams.  Don’t let drugs destroy them: Wear your warm, snuggly pajamas! 

Monday, Oct. 29th - You have the power to make good choices.  Choose to be drug free!: Dress like a superhero or wear a lot of red for Red Ribbon Week.  Students may also choose to wear school colors for Spirit Week!


Dexter Harvest Festival

Please come and join us at this year's Harvest Festival on Friday, November 9th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.! There will be food, music, games and bounce houses for the whole family! Food will include pizza, a drink and a sweet treat! The cost is $3 per person for food only; there is no charge for the fun! For more information, and to RSVP for food,please see the attached flyer!

Canned Food Drive

Dexter Elementary School is having a canned food drive to support Warm-A-Heart Outreach and Referral Center.   Dexter students may bring in canned goods and dry goods between October 2nd and November 2nd.  On Fridays, the donations from each class will be tallied.  The class that has the most items as of COB on each Friday will receive freezer pops on the following Wednesday.  At the end of the food drive on Friday, November 2nd the items for the month will be tallied and a pizza celebration will be awarded to the class with the most donations on Friday, November 9th!  For more information, please see the attached flyer.
