Dexter Celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

Dexter ET
Ft. Benning | May 25, 2016

On Monday, May 23, Dexter Students participated in a celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage.  Parents and staff of Asian Pacific descent volunteered to run different stations about their cultural heritage for the event.  Some of the cultures represented included: Samoa, Hawaii, Philippines and China.

Students had the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities including games, food tasting and viewing artifacts. The students were also treated to some traditional dances and music.  Faith Middle School's 6th and 7th Grade Chinese classes performed two dances for Dexter students.

Dexter Elementary School would like to thank all of our visitors and volunteers for a great afternoon!
