Kubasaki High School, Okinawa | October 7, 2020
Stretching from Naha to Nago you can cruise around Okinawa to find interactive pieces of art, some as nearby as American Village. This got me thinking about our school and how we are "Home of the Dragons." So I reached out to the community and located a group of artists willing to donate their talents and time for a project our Kubasaki Dragons could love for many years.
Casie Clardy took the lead in the project with her expertise in mural art. Along her side was Heather Bondine Reynolds and Yuuki Dugas Bird. Together these three ladies designed a set of dragons that face each other if viewed from the front. Once a student stands between them it will appear our students have dragon wings.
There were also students involved; Madison Sharpe, Alyssa Sharpe, and Tim Leibee.
This is a perfect picture spot for all students to pose and create Dragon Fire memories here in Okinawa at our very own Kubasaki High School.
None of this could have been done without Terri Leibee, Kubasaki's PTSO President, coordinating it all!
