On April 6, 2018 the Future Business Leaders of America, Puerto Rico Chapter, celebrated the 2017-2018 Competitive Events. In 45 different competitive events and with the participation of 747 students, the Antilles High School FBLA Team demonstrated skills in leadership and knowledge of business concepts.
The Pirates’ representation included: Daniel Irizarry in Job Interview, Alejandro Ramírez in Marketing, Angelica Chacón in Entrepreneurship, Kristal Ortiz in Business Communication in English, Nixa Santana in Parliamentary Procedures, Ariam Rivera in Accounting I, José Rivera de la Llana in Accounting II, Víctor Martínez in Public Speaking in English, Alejandro Sepúlveda in Client Service, Jan Camps in Personal Finances, Raúl Aquino in Impromptu Speaking in Spanish, Sebastian Bramsen in Impromptu Speaking in English, and Jabner Mercado in Introduction to Business.
The competitive events results indicated that 12 of the Pirates were recognized as TOP TEN in every respective category. The pirates with excellent performance brought the pass to represent Puerto Rico at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, Maryland during June 28 – July 2, 2018, a place in which the pirate scream will heard again.
